The Management of Ananda Jyothi High School is happy to release the Annual News letter “Ananda Vision”. This records the academic, sports, cultural and administrative events that take place time to time at the school or outside from time to time. It also serves a forum for dialogue between AJHS its students, faculty and parents. As it name implies, it will of course high light the achievements of AJHS. We hope it will be received like before by everyone especially the students and their parents. We would like to welcome suggestions from everyone to help improve this newsletter.

GURU UTSAV CELEBRATIONS THE INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF LIONS CLUB LIONS BHAVAN, SECUNDERABAD
One of our staff members Ms. Sashikala has been honoured with Best Teacher award on 05.09.2014 at Lions Bhavan, Secunderabad by the International Association of Lions Club on the occassion of Teachers Day Celebrations. Sri Chandravadan, IAS, Sri Prem Kumar, Governor and Lions Club president Vijaya Lakshmi were guests on this occassion.

Teachers day prize distribution function was held on 09.9.2015 at 10.00 a.m. in the school premises. The chairman Sri K. Surya Prakash Garu was the Chief guest, while Smt. K. Vijaya Lakshmi Retd. Gagetted Head Mistress, Smt. K. Prameela Madam, Retd. Chief Pharmacist, BHEL, Sri. K. Satyanarayana garu, incharge of Ananda Jyothi School, Ghatkesar Branch, Sri. K.s. Prasad garu Correspondent of AJHS and Principal Smt. K. Varalakshmi were guests of Honour. After the guests speeches, Prizes were given to students teachers and staff members including teaching and non- teaching. Finally the programme ended with felicitation of guests after the programme, the management invited all the staff and students of classes IX & X for the Dinner arranged at AJHS – Vasavi Nagar branch at 1.00 p.m. on the occassion of Birth Anniversary of late Founder & Chairman Sri K. Sriramulu garu.
TEACHERS ORIENTATION SNVMV TEACHERS WORK SHOP
Sarojini Naidu Vanitha Maha Vidyalaya organised a two days workshop on new C.C.E. curriculum for High School Teachers on 11th & 12th August 2014. Dr. N. Upender Reddy, Professor & Head C&T Dept., SCERT, hosted the event & Addressed the high school teachers in adopting new C.C.E. curriculum introduced by state government with the available expertise and infrastructure. They guided the teachers by involving them in practical training in respective science labs. Two days work shop ended with valedictory and presentation of certificates. Report by Mrs. Sanjana
SPORTS Rajiv Sadbhavana Run 20.08.2014
Nearly 70 Students from VI to X classes participated in Rajiv Sadbhavana Run on Wednesday 20.08.2014 at 7.30 a.m. from Srinivasapuram, (Ramanthapur) to Somajiguda (Punjagutta) under supervision of Mr. Ramakrishna PET. All the students returned to school by 1.00 p.m.
NATIONAL FESTIVALS INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS ON 15.08.2014
Independence Day function was held in the school premises on 15th of August at 8.00 a.m. Sri Giri garu, Director of Prerana Organisation was the Chief guest. After flag hoisting, VI to X students participated in the March Past under super vision of Mr. Rama Krishna P.E.T. Speeches, Group songs were presented by V to X students on this occassion. Prizes were given to the students (I to V) who participated in games like Running Race, Sack Race, Lemon and Spoon race and memory contest. Prizes also were given to the winners of VI & VII group activities, Best Notice Board Display students of the week, Best conversation students of the week, Best conversation leader of the month and a Rolling Shield was presented to class VII for seing Best Conversation class of the month. Badges were given to group leaders for the academic year 2014-2015. Finally the function ended by the presentation cash awards to S.S.C. Toppers of March – 2014 exams and S.S. C Staff. Prizes also were given to tiny tots of Nur, LKG, UKG and I to III classes who came to school in costumes of Lord Krishna and Gopikas depicting the on coming festival. CHILDREN’S DAY CELEBRATIONS
Ananda Jyothi High School, Ramanthapur successfully organised its children’s day celebrations on Nov – 14 childrens from (Nur, LKG & UKG) Pre – Primary had participated in fancy dress competition. Students from VI to X proved their talents in dancing, singing, dramas etc.. special performances by Sita, Jayanthi, Sanjana, Srilatha, Mamtha, Pranitha and Swapna teachers also entertained the children with their comedy skits & dances. Programme ended with speech of our Correcpondent Sri K.S. Prasad Sir and presentation of gifts. Reported by Sanjana Biology Teacher
REPUBLIC DAY FUNCTION HELD ON 26TH JANUARY 2015
Republic Day was held in the school premises on 26th of January 2015. In the presence of the students, staff and management, our correspondent Sri K.S. Prasad garu has hoisted the flag. The students dispersed after the sweet s distribution by 9.30 a.m.
SCIENCE EXCELLENCE INSPIRE SCIENCE EXHIBITION – 2014 (02.09.2014 TO 04.09.2014) District level inspire Science Exhibition – 2014 was held at Gurukul Vidyapeet, Ibrahimpatnam from 02.09.2014 to 04.09.2014. Kum. Yogitha Misra of class VIII was selected for the said Exhibition, she was awarded with Inspire cash award of Rs.5000/- towards preparation of exhibit and transport charges. An exhibit with a title of “FLOOD ALERT” was prepared and sent for the above exhibition along with inspire awardee Yogitha, Saileela Science Teachers Mrs. Sanjana and Mr. Shailakar Sir. Result : Our exhibit was selected for Statelevel Exhibition to be held shortly in this Academic year.
NATIONAL LEVEL INSPIRE SCIENCE EXHIBITION - OCT – 2014 – NEW DELHI (04.10.2014 TO 08.10.2014)
National level inspire Science Echibition was held in New Delhi between 04.10.2014 and 08.10.2014. Our Correspondent Sri K.S. Prasad, Inspire awardee Kum. Yogitha Misra VIII calss and Sidda Reddy, computer teacher went to participate in the said exhibition. Though we were selected for district level and state level exhibition, we could not beat the prize in National level. But the exhibit was appreciated by one and all. Its a mile stone in the history of Ananda Jyothi High School. A cash award of Rs.2500/- was given to Yogitha as a taken of appreciation from Inspire Science Exhibition.
APAS – CHILDREN’S SCIENCE MEET (13.11.2014 & 14.11.2014)
We are the students of IX class Raqshan Aleem & V.S.S. Haritha had participated in children’s science meet which was organised by the APAS (Andhra Pradesh Academy of Science) or TSAS. We went there at morning 8:30 a.m. This programme was held in IICT in Habsiguda (CSIR). The inauguration was done by the Governor E.S.N.L Narsimhan of Andhra Pradesh State. He gave an wonderful speech on that occassion. We interacted with Dr. P.M. Bhargava, Dr. Surya Lakshmi Kanthan, Dr. Bala Subrahmanyam, Dr. Ramaswamy, Dr. Varaprasad and Prof. A. Ramachandraiah and Prof. Rajendra Prasad and many more scientists. We have also visited NGRI and CCMB Campus to gain information about the concern topics/ subjects. The focal theme to organise this program was to make the children aware of Indian Science & Technology.

Kum. K. Sai Leela of Class VIII & Kum. V.S.S. Haritha of IX have participated in the Science contest (Dist. Level) held at Model School, Tarnaka on Sunday 30.11.2014. They bagged a certificate along with a Shield for securing 1st Place in School level contest and for participating in Dist. Level Science meet.
NATIONAL SCIENCE DAY
On 28th February, the National Science Day was celebrated in Survey of India. We 8th & 9th students along with the teachers – Srilatha, Pushyami went to survey of India. They showed different types of maps. They also told that why we celebrate the Science day. Because Sir. C.V. Raman had invented his great discovery i.e, “Raman Effect” on 28th February. For his great invention he got “Nobel Prize” in 1930, that’s why we celebrate “National Science day”. We saw different types of Geographical maps. And also we saw 1352’s Stereo plotters – Aa, Ba,. We enjoyed a lot. They also conducted Quiz programme. The following students got prizes. 1. Raqshan Aleem - IX - 1st Prize 2. S. Pranathi - VIII - 1st Prize 3. J. VIII Class REPORT ON SCIENCE DAY – 2015 (28.02.2015)
National Science day – 2015 was held on 28.02.2015 at Jawahar Bal Bhavan, Hyderabad conducted by Telangana State Pollution control board. Between the Schools in Hyd to bring out the core competitiveness among the students. Nearly 15 schools participated in the competition and number of new innovations created by the students were displayed for example our students participated with two projects one on water wastage control system and go green in houses. These type of competitions are more helpful to the students and all the participants received certificates of participation. Overall the day on science was very good. PLEASURE TRIPS EXCURSION TRIP “DOLARI DHANI” ON 20.12.2014
Report by Srilatha Teacher REPORT ON PICNIC TO DREAM VALLEY RESORT
Our School have planned a picnic to Dream Valley Resort on 24th December, 2014. The students from 5th to 10th class were taken to this trip. All the concerned teachers accompanied in this trip. We have started our trip at 7.00 a.m. around 9.30 a.m. we reached the Dream Valley Resort. All the children were very much excited to play all the water games – as it is a water theam park. But it was the time for break fast. We had Upma and Chutny. After the break fast we went to the resort. The Resort people welcomed us by giving welcom drink. We divided the students in to groups. Boys went for riding and the girls were send to rain dance. After that girls were taken together water games. Around 12 o’ clock all the students came back for lunch. We had a tasty lunch and after that all the students were taken to a play ground. The teachers also accompanied them. The students engaged in different games like cricket, Kho-Kho etc. Some of them were enjoying, Playing ‘Anthakshari’ – aound 4o’ clock we watched a magical show which was arranged by the resort. Around 5.30 evening we left the resort. Before leaving the resort we had snacks and ice creams, were arranged by the resort we reached back to school at 8o’ clock p.m. Any way all the children enjoyed this trip a lot and they maintained discipline throughout the trip. FAREWELL PARTY
Farewell to X class students organised by staff and IX class students on 16.03.2015 (Monday) from 5:30 p.m. to 9.00 p.m. at Srinivasapuram welfare Association Community Hall. The event went very successfully with dance performances and comedy skits performed by IX and X class students. Haritha and Raqshan Aleem of IX class gave nice presentation with their anchoring roles filled with enthusiasm on this occassion. Our Chief guest was manager of Andhra Bank, Srinivasapuram addressed the students with his speech. The students of X class felicitated Sashikala teacher on this occassion. At the end of the programme all the students of IX Class gave send off to thier seniors carrying a lot of sweet memories. Report by Smt. Sanjana Boilogy Teacher
Group activities 2014-15
As usual we have conducted group activities for all the classes right from the beginning of the academic year weekly once in every month and encouraged them by giving prizes in the following events. The very next day itself, we gave away the I,IIand III Prizes respectively to the winners regularly. Events

SUMMER CAMP SRINIVASAPURAM, RAMANTHAPUR
Apart from the academic programme a summer camp has also been arranged in the school as usual from 01.05.2015 to 30.05.2015 with the main intention to release, the stress and strain that the students have experienced through out the year in the academic achieves, to bring out the internal special talents of the students and to mingle with fellow students joyfully during summer camp. The activities planned were 1. Geetha Chanting 2. Neethi Padyalu 3. Drawing art craft 4. Guru Stuti 5. Dance, Stories & Songs
VASAVI NAGAR BRANCH
Nearly 50 students from different schools attended the summer camp classes held in our New branch of Vasavi Nagar. The students participated with lot of enthusiasm. Advance Bridge course classes were held for the new batch during summer camp in Maths, General Science, English & Social under super vision of the Correspondent Sir, K.S. Prasad and Sr. Maths Mr. Shailakar Reddy.
